History
- 1971 - GSA SEPARATES FROM ASWSU: Board of Regents approved that the Graduate Student Association be recognized as a separate entity from ASWSU
- 1971 - GSA PROPOSE FEE DECREASE: GSA proposed a decreased Athletic Fee for grad students due to time constraints and low participation. View regent minutes from July 19, 1971.
- 1985 - TEACHING ASSISTANT WORKSHOP: GPSA developed a Teaching Assistant training workshop. See an ad in the top left corner for the workshop that happened in September 1987.
- 1986 - NAGPS AT WSU: NAGPS was established on the WSU Pullman campus. View GPSA article from a December 1894 issue of the Daily Evergreen.
- 1988 - STUDENT HEALTH ADVISORY COUNCIL: Established the Student Health Advisory Council to be more involved in health insurance decision
- 1989 - GRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH EXPO: First grad student Research Exposition. View news article about the research expo from 1989.
- 1990 - GPSA DAY: GPSA Day observed at WSU
- 1994 - HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE: Graduate student health insurance coverage by WSU as introduced by GPSA
- 1996 - GPSA STUDY CENTER: Opened the GPSA Study Center in Library. View the board of regents minutes from January 26, 1996.
- 1997 - AFFILIATE FUNDING: Affiliate funding provided to graduate and professional RSOs
- 1999 - GPSA REPRESENTATION AT ALL CAMPUSES: President urged the importance of having GPSA Representation at all WSU campus including Tri-Cities, Spokane, and Vancouver
- 1999 - GPSA/OGRD GRANT WRITING WORKSHOP: Held first GPSA/OGRD Grant Writing Workshop. See the community calendar listing from 1999 listing the upcoming workshop.
- 2003 - GRADUATE-PROFESSIONAL LISTSERV: Created all grad-prof student listserv
- 2005 - WINTER SOCIAL: Created the first winter social.
- 2005 - GPSA REPORTS TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS: View regent minutes from November 18, 2005.
- 2006 - LEGISLATIVE LIAISON: Created a Legislative Liaison to work with WSA & create legislative agenda. View meeting minutes from 2006 where GPSA President Jason Doss reported on GPSA and the first legislative liaison to the Board of Regents.
- 2006 - ATHLETICS COMMITTEE: Created Athletics committee to purchase tickets
- 2008 - EVENING CHILDCARE: Evening Childcare Subsidy introduced. View the first evening childcare ad in the November 2008 Daily Evergreen.
- 2008 - PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GRANT: PD Grant for research funding, which was for up to $3,000 per student.
